A sweet celebration! Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ daughter James celebrated her 5th birthday at the Museum of Ice Cream in New York City, and Bradley Cooper attended the festivities with his daughter, Lea De Seine.
“He was a very hands-on dad, crouching down onto her level and running around playing with her,” a source tells Us Weekly exclusively of the Monday, December 16, birthday bash. “The children at the party enjoyed the sprinkle pool and banana room.”
Reynolds, 43, fell back into the rainbow pool in a slow-motion video posted by the Museum of Ice Cream the following day. “@vancityreynolds we give your form a 9/10,” the Instagram caption read. “Thanks for stopping by!”
The 6 Underground actor and Lively, 32, welcomed James in 2014 and her younger sister Inez two years later. In October, Us broke the news that the couple, who wed in 2012, had welcomed a third baby to their brood. Reynolds revealed the sex of the little one — a baby girl — later that same week.
As for Cooper, 44, the Grammy winner shares his 2-year-old with his ex Irina Shayk. Following their June split, the former couple are keeping their relationship “civil” for their daughter’s sake, a source told Us exclusively at the time.
The insider went on to tell Us that Cooper and the model, 33, have plans to share custody of Lea De Seine 50/50 and hired a lawyer to finalize their coparenting plans. “They both work and have a nanny,” the source explained in June. “They’ll coordinate to make sure their daughter is always with one parent. When Lea has important events in her life, both Bradley and Irina will be there.”
Cooper loves being a father, calling his family “a miracle and something [he’s] always dreamt of” in a September 2018 NPR interview. “Having a child … has opened me up even more to the day and to be present,” he gushed at the time.
The father-daughter pair recently made a rare appearance, attending an event together in October. The toddler sat on the actor’s lap during the Mark Twain Prize Gala while wearing a puffer vest, a star-patterned dress and white tights.
