Earlier this year, Rachel McAdams welcomed her first child with screenwriter boyfriend Jamie Linden, an experience she called “the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me, hands down.”
Now, The Notebook actress has posed for a photo shoot which shows her six-months postpartum pumping breast milk for her son. Photographer and Girls. Girls. Girls. Magazine founder Claire Rothstein posted a photo from her shoot with new mum on Tuesday, showing McAdams in full hair and makeup, a black Fleur du Mal bra, a Brauxiliary pumping band, a plaid Versace jacket she slung over her shoulders and a Bulgari diamond choker.
“Breastfeeding is the most normal thing in the world and I can’t for the life of me imagine why or how it is ever frowned upon or scared of,” she continued. “I don’t even think it needs explaining but just wanted to put this out there, as if it even changes one person’s perception of something so natural, so normal, so amazing then that’s great.”
“Besides she’s wearing Versace and @bulgariofficial diamonds and is just fucking major. Big shout out to all the girls ??,” Rothstein finished.
Naturally, the image is already iconic with fans commenting, “#RachelMcAdams pumping breast milk in Versace is the kind of power statement I needed today” and “RACHEL MCADAMS A TRUE ICON.”
