There’s nothing like a good extraction video from dermatologist Sandra Lee, MD, a.k.a. Dr. Pimple Popper, to start the week. In her latest Instagram video that she posted Monday afternoon, she removed a golf ball-sized epidermoid cyst from a male patient’s upper back.
The video starts with the cyst already sliced open and ready for extraction. She uses her pliers and scissors to open it up a bit more.
“I’m going to give it a little squeeze here, okay?” she tells the patient.
Naturally, she provides her patient with a colorful explanation of exactly what’s hiding inside that back cyst: “Powdered mashed potatoes, the stuff that you just have to mix it up a little bit to get it like mashed potatoes!” she says as she squeezes the cyst, and her patient groans in horror.
“Come on!” he says as she continues removing it.
Then, she offers her patient an even more descriptive visual of the gunk.
“It’s a silverish kind of color….okay sorry, we’re gross,” she says, as her patient concurs.
She works on removing the sac that the cyst was in while giving her patient a little more numbing medication.
“We’re almost to the bottom of it,” she says as she snips away at the sac.
As she removes the rest of the cyst’s sac, she says, “Are you okay? Sorry about my noises,” in reference to the loud cuts of the scissors.
But her fans are loving her gruesome descriptions.
“Powdered mash potatoes!!! 😂😂” one commented, while another wrote, “It’s chunky.”
