Around in 1 in 5 Australians experience symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), an intestinal disorder that affects the functioning of the bowel.
There are a range of symptoms associated with condition, many of which can be embarrassing and distressing to sufferers.
These are the five most common signs you might be struggling with IBS.

2. Gastro-intenstinal problems such as wind, diarrhea, constipation and indigestion

So what can you do to combat IBS?
Unfortunately, there is no known cause of IBS but in most cases, it is triggered by food intolerances, stress, lifestyle changes, medication and infections.
Don’t stress, there is no proof of IBS leading to any sort of serious or long term bowel conditions but unfortunately, the disorder cannot be cured and only treated through correctional eating habits, certain medications and medical testing for food intolerances.
