Time flies! Andy Grammer’s 20-month-old daughter, Lousiana, isn’t a baby anymore.
“She’s speaking a lot for someone her age,” the singer, 35, told Us Weekly exclusively on Monday, April 15. “It’s more like you’re actually hanging out with a homie. In the beginning, they’re like this little blob and then now … I took her on a breakfast date the other day and it was just me and her. We were, like, kicking it.”

The musician and his wife, Aijia Lise, welcomed Louisiana in July 2017. “We’re in love,” Grammer captioned their first family photo with the infant.
When it comes to parenting their daughter, the California native, who released “Don’t Give up on Me” in February, admitted that he’s the “more lax” one in the relationship.

“Everything is so complicated, even if you just want to leave the house for a little bit,” Grammer told Us. “I’m a little more like, ‘Let’s just leave and we’ll figure it out when we get out there. … She’s, like, pack[ing] a diaper bag and all that. But sometimes by the time you’ve done that, it’s been a half hour and now you can’t go. I’d rather just go and risk it.”
They’re “mostly on the same page,” otherwise, but the new dad said it’s up to Lise, 32, whether or not they give Louisiana a younger sibling.
“I would love to, [but] it’s very much the decision of the wife,” Grammer told Us. “She definitely wants more, but it’s on her timeline.”
For now, they’re enjoying their one-on-one time with their daughter, which includes Saturday dance classes and “throw[ing] on some gospel music and just get[ting] down on Sundays.”
