Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans is leaning on her family for support after her husband, David Eason, shot and killed her dog Nugget.
Evans, 27, shared an Instagram picture on Friday, May 3, that showed her snuggling up to her daughter, Ensley, 2, amid the drama. “Squishy face,” she captioned the sweet throwback photo.
Three days prior, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Eason, 30, shot and killed Evans’ French bulldog, Nugget, because the animal “snapped at” Ensley in their North Carolina home. The pipe welder confessed to the killing the following day, explaining that the dog had “bit Ensley aggressively” in the past as well.
“I dont give a damn what animal bites my baby on the face,” he wrote on Instagram. “Whether it be your dog or mine, a dog is a dog and I dont put up with that s–t at all. I’m all about protecting my family, it is my lifes mission. Some people are worth killing or dying for and my family means that much to me.”
The Read Between the Lines author later told Us that she is considering divorcing Eason due to his actions, “but nothing is finalized.” She revealed, “At this time, we are dealing with this rough situation. I want to focus on what’s best for me and my kids.”
Evans reiterated her uncertainty earlier on Friday. “Im heartbroken,” she shared via Instagram Stories. “[My] marriage is up in the air at this point.”
Eason and the MTV personality tied the knot in September 2017, eight months after they welcomed Ensley. Evans already had two children — sons Kaiser, 4, and Jace, 9, — from previous relationships. Kaiser was in the JE Cosmetics founder’s care when Eason killed Nugget, but Jace was on a cruise with his grandmother Barbara Evans at the time.
