Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost have to watch what they say at home, because their 1-year-old son Cosmo is already talking up a storm! At the premiere of her Asteroid City movie in New York City on Tuesday, the actress opened up about her “verbose” baby, who turns 2 in August.

Talkative Baby
“My son is very talkative,” Johansson told Entertainment Tonight. “He’s not yet two, but he did tell me the other day that his clothing was all wet. And I was like, ‘Did you just say clothing?!’”
“Yeah, he’s very verbose,” she added.
That’s seriously impressive! All babies are different, but a 1-year-old talking about his clothing is definitely advanced. Johansson’s likely reading, singing, and talking to him a lot at home!

Colin Jost & Scarlett Johansson Got Married in 2020
Johansson and Jost got married in Oct. 2020, and welcomed Cosmo in 2021. At the time, the Saturday Night Live star said his mom was “thrown” by the name.
“My mom, I would say, was slightly thrown by [the name] and didn’t quite understand it. I don’t know if she thought it was kind of like a hippie thing?” he said on an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
He went on, “She would call us, after three or four days, she’d be like, ‘Cosmo…’ She’d be like, ‘And, now, is it final? Like, did you submit the birth certificate?’ And we’re like, ‘Oh, yeah, we did that at the hospital. She was like ‘Oh okay, interesting. Because I was reading that there’s also a name Cosimo with an ‘I’ so that could also be an option. Maybe you call him Cosimo, that’s his real name, but then you can call him still Cosmo.’”

What Work-Life Balance?
The Black Widow star, who is also mom to 8-year-old daughter Rose with ex-husband Romain Dauriac, recently opened up about work-life balance.
“There is no balance. If you figure it out, let me know. I’m looking for any kind of balance,” Johansson said on The Skinny Confidential: Him & Her podcast.
She also talked about how parenting changes your perspective. “Your perspective changes for sure,” she said. “It helps the pieces of your life kind of fall into place a little bit I think when you have this other priority. … You go, ‘Wait, this job is going to take me away from my family for XYZ or I’m going to have to move them in an inconvenient way for this amount of time,’ and yeah, it’s a big change.” So true!
