Garth Fisher Beauty Introduces Doc Block

With more than 20 years of experience as a plastic surgeon, Dr. Garth Fisher thinks sunscreen is the most important skin-care product everyone needs to use.
“For 20 years I’ve seen how the sun wreaks havoc on the skin,” he said. “The damage is cumulative and it limits the ability to see results from products and procedures.”
This philosophy inspired him to launch his own line of sun care, called Doc Block. First launching with two products, a facial and body sunscreen, Fisher wanted his products to do more than just prevent sun damage.
“I like simplicity,” he said on his strategic vision for product formulation. “I wanted to come up with products that could be used as a daily moisturizer, had antiaging benefits that are good for the skin and has SPF 55.”
The Daily Facial Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 55 and Body Essential Sunscreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30, priced at $44 and $39 respectively, are both formulated with a patent-pending antiaging complex, which includes green tea extract and osmanthus flower extract to provide hydration and protect the skin from oxidative damage. The products also include 11 botanical butters, including shea, palm, mango and cocoa, which keep the skin moisturized. Both products are also clinically tested to be photostable, meaning they don’t impart a sheen on the skin that is typically seen with most sunscreens.
With a celebrity clientele that includes Kris Jenner, Lisa Rinna and Amber Rose, among others, Dr. Fisher has already gotten his patients hooked on his sun-care products, including fellow beauty entrepreneur Kim Kardashian.
“I’ve known Dr. Fisher for many years now and he’s an amazing doctor and friend,” Kardashian said. “He gave me some samples of Doc Block sunscreen and I wear it every day. Most sunscreens can make my skin look chalky and dull in photos, but Doc Block feels luxurious and gives such a beautiful glow.”
Doc Block is available on garthfisherbeauty.com and is rolling out on Amazon in the next few weeks. Dr. Fisher is currently working on a tinted version of the facial sunscreen to launch by the end of the year. He has plans to continue expanding the brand into other skin-care categories.
