Following the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Simone Biles had a bit of a busy schedule when she returned home from the competition. She took a much-needed vacation and spent some time chilling poolside with her loved ones before she began flipping and cartwheeling across the nation in the Athleta Gold Over America Tour, which runs until November 7. She even made appearances at both the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards and the Met Gala and graced a few magazine covers — of course, she looked stunning the entire time.
Between it all, Biles still manages to give us a glimpse or two of what she's looking like on her time off. Her most recent Instagram post revealed the new braided hairstyle she's wearing, a set of fresh-looking, bohemian box braids. She captioned the reveal, "a funny story: people think they know me." The black braids are styled simply with a part down the middle. In the midst of the small braids, you can see tendrils of loose waves that add that bohemian vibe and some texture to the whole look.

These braids weren't the only things that caught our eyes in the snapshot. The glittery silver eye shadow applied to her lids adds a dazzling element to the look. Her long lashes, which look like the work of a pair of falsies, and lips that are glazed in a sheer gloss are the complementing touches for the simple but breathtaking look.
When Biles isn't stunting with straight hair, she's usually in a braided protective style like this one. Though she tends to switch it up each time, she seems to fancy box braids, seeing as she has gotten this style a few times. For example, in August, she had waist-length braids that ended in swirly curls, and in December of 2020 she opted for a shorter braided style with caramel highlights. We love how much she experiments with her protective styling and just know her next braided hairstyle will earn our seal of approval.
