Sugar, spice and everything nice! Christy Carlson Romano gave birth to a baby girl. This is her second child with husband Brendan Rooney, whom she married on New Year’s Eve in 2013.
“Welcome to the world, Sophia Elizabeth Rooney,” the Even Stevens alum, 34, wrote on Instagram Opens a New Window. on Wednesday, February 20. “Born 7lbs 2oz on 2/18 at 1:27 PM. @thebrendanrooney@isabellavrooney and I love you infinitely. We are already marveling at your grace and beauty, just like when your sister was born. We cannot wait to watch our bright shining stars journey down the path of sisterhood together.”
In the first look at her baby girl, Romano showed off her daughter’s bare feet in a baby blanket, a hospital bracelet around her ankle.
Romano announced her second pregnancy in August 2018. “We are so excited, we just can’t keep this a secret any longer!” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “@thebrendanrooney and I are thrilled to announce that we’re expecting again!”
The former Broadway star and the film producer already share 2-year-old daughter Isabella, a.k.a. Izzy. “She’s gonna have to share her toys soon!” Romano said after finding out she was pregnant with baby No. 2.
Rooney posted a heartwarming message to his wife on their fifth wedding anniversary in December. He said on Instagram Opens a New Window. , “There’s not a day that goes by where I don’t think about how lucky and blessed I am to share this beautiful life with you.”
“We’ve since started our family and soon our dream of adding the fourth star to our constellation will come true,” he continued. “When we met I told you, ‘I am a moth, who just wants to share your light’; thank you for letting me. You are my reason, my purpose, and I love you beyond words. Happy Anniversary, My Love.”
