Ta-da! Two weeks after welcoming their baby girl, Alessi, Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham are showing off her nursery.
“New crib, who dis?” the new mom, 27, wrote on Instagram on Thursday, June 13. “Finally finished Alessi’s nursery! Better late than never, right?”
The Bachelor alum, who showed off the nursery of her “dreams” with a spread of bedroom shots, went on to say that the design process with @thelifestyledco was “seamless.”
The couple’s daughter arrived on May 29. When the Virginia native left her little one at home for the first time a week later, she was bashed on social media — but her husband, 37, came to her defense.
“To all the negative comments regarding leaving her with grandma for a 45min lunch, cut her some slack!” the race car driver wrote on Instagram at the time. “It was my idea because she has been working so hard to keep up and quite frankly I commend her for 1. Being an incredible mom and getting the breast-feeding down enough to make sure she had enough while she was at lunch. (Moms know that breast-feeding can be difficult) and 2. So much of being a good parent is making sure you take care of yourself.”
The former Bachelor added: “She wanted a healthy meal with her sister who is in town. I get so frustrated at the comments because she is such a kind soul and takes these comments to heart. Be kind people! … You’re doing great momma.”
The pair, who met and fell in love on season 22 of The Bachelor, announced exclusively to Us Weekly in November 2018 that they were expecting their first child. They tied the knot in Hawaii two months later.
Luyendyk Jr. and his wife shared their wedding video on social media on Monday, June 10. “Best day of our lives (pre Alessi),” Burnham captioned the footage.
