Kaavia James is cute enough all on her own — but when you add an adorable bonding moment with her dad, Dwyane Wade, it takes the sweetness to a whole new level. In a video posted by both Kaavia and mom Gabrielle Union’s Instagram accounts, the sassy 3-year-old was hard at work as she styled her daddy’s hair.

The May 19 Instagram video shows Wade sitting casually on the couch, with Kaavia propped up on top of the cushions standing behind him. Wearing a vibrant, colorful one-piece set, hair stylist Kaavia uses her imagination to create a one-of-a-kind hairstyle for her dad — who looks more than happy to be his daughter’s client, flashing a smile at the camera as he undergoes a hair transformation.
“When your client asks for a style that’s unreasonable,” a text overlay on the video reads. Kaavia can be seen “braiding” and fixing Wade’s hair (or lack thereof), and repositioning his head in different ways to get a better look at what she’s working with. Union, who also runs Kaavia’s Instagram account, hilariously offered another description of the adorable daddy-daughter scene. “When your client wants braids but you didn’t bring enough hair… @kaaviajames has the best solution!!”
Of course, at the end of the video, Kaavia finally decides on giving her dad a bucket hat to wear. As we’ve seen in other adorable videos of Kaavia, the 3-year-old is not afraid to let her personality shine through — and it’s so great to see her sharing these priceless family moments with both Wade and Union.
